"Black Friday" is coming!

Treat yourself this holiday season. Electronic deals are now showing up before 24 November ("Black Friday"). Whether you want that larger television screen, or just a 'smart tv', there are lots of choices to be had. Tired of that older s.l.o.w. computer, there are multiple replacement options.

Our church is always looking for older computer equipment (PCs, laptops, tablets, phones). and working televisions. We refurbish electronics to the latest operating system they will accept, adding some public domain/shareware programs, and see that it gets a good home. If your computer has not had all its data removed, this will be done when it is upgraded. If it is eventually sold, monies will go to missions supported by Lake Gibson Methodist Church's womens group. If you have either an older iPad or iPhone, please disconnect it from your Apple account and then reset your device. This removes all traces of your ownership so that another might register the older device. Otherwise, it can't be refurbished and must be sent to the recycling center.

If your electronics cannot be refurbished for reuse, they will be delivered to the Polk County's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility. Better that it gets handled properly rather than going directly into the landfill.
